Replacing the Lithium Battery
Replacing the Lithium Battery
After several years, when the lithium battery starts to weaken, the system
settings stored in CMOS RAM, such as the date and time, may be wrong.
When this occurs, you need to replace the lithium battery.
^ Before replacing the battery, you should read the section "To Replace the Lithium Battery"
in the Sony PC Reference Manual.
To replace the lithium battery
1 To run the Setup utility, press F3, then press FI to run the BIOS
setup utility.
2 Write down the current BIOS Setup options.
3 Shut down your PC and turn off all peripheral devices, such as your
printer, display, and speakers. Unplug your PC,
4 Remove the side panel as described on page 120.
